Hi folks
The Hawke’s Bay Branch of the Vintage Car Club in conjunction with Bay Ford in Napier and Hastings, are holding the Daffodil Rally for Cancer on Sunday 23 August 2026. We are encouraging strong participation from all local car clubs and motoring groups in Hawke’s Bay.
We would love your group to participate in this event for such a worthy cause. Every dollar raised will go to our local Cancer Society here in Hawke’s Bay. In total, the Vintage Car Club nationally has raised over $500,000 in recent years with this event. This year we are proud to drive alongside Ford New Zealand in supporting the Cancer Society.
This is a national event and so on this day across New Zealand, thousands of vehicles will be on the road or on display to raise money for local cancer societies in their areas. Everyone is welcome, no matter what kind of vehicle they drive.
I would be obliged if you could bring this invitation to the attention of your members. Plans have yet to be finalised as to the format and time of the event but it would be great if your club/group could pencil in the date and let me know if you would be interested in participating.
